Program Leader

Since 1995, Adele Cockrill has served as an educator of high school science in New Jersey. Prior to becoming an educator she attended Rutgers University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Education. She is an experienced instructor who inspires and empowers her students to achieve their full potential. She is skilled at setting an instructional climate encouraging risk-taking and collegial dialogue within a stress free yet academically challenging setting fostering a spirit of shared ownership, responsibility and accountability.

Mrs. Cockrill has held various leadership positions working closely with others to improve existing curricula on all science subjects, incorporating more diversity to respond both to the needs and interests of students and to the knowledge gained from academic research. She proudly earned awards of Teacher of the Semester, Teacher of the Month, and Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.
