When I first heard about Synergy Education, I had what most people would consider a pretty good job for someone my age. However, the truth was that I was overworked, underpaid, and majorly unfulfilled. I had always known that one day I would start my own business and work only for myself, but at the time this seemed so out of reach. Would I be able to make enough money on my own to support myself? Was I even capable of running a business at 24 years old? These considerations kept me stuck and unhappy, and any dream of striking out on my own was put on the backburner.
In December 2013, I registered for and attended a Synergy Basic workshop. That weekend, I got connected to what it was I really wanted for myself and my career, and learned tangible tools for operating from a place of choice (what I want) vs. considerations (not enough money, not enough time, fear, etc.). When I left Synergy that Sunday evening and walked out onto 36th Street, I could feel the shift immediately. I knew it was time to go after what I wanted. I got that I deserved to live my ideal life NOW, and that only I could create that for myself.
In the coming weeks and months, I began taking steps to responsibly and respectably leave my job. I worked to acquire some clients for the transition, built a website, completed an online business course, and continued training via the Synergy curriculum. Within a few months, I had fully transitioned to working on my own!
I remember very clearly a conversation I had with my boss in 2013. He had asked me where I wanted to be professionally in one year, and my immediate thought was, “I want to work half as much and make twice as much.” At the time, I was too fearful to voice that out loud, but Synergy taught me that there’s no reason not to be outrageous with our goals and the life we envision for ourselves. And where am I, less than two years later? Working half as much and making three times as much. In the time since I completed my Synergy Basic, I’ve created everything I wanted, and more.
The money is great, and the business success has been an amazing and exciting ride – but it’s more than that. Thanks to the distinctions, coaching, and tangible tools from Synergy, I have been able to create my perfect lifestyle at just 26 years old. Life is NOW, so what are you waiting for?
